MUST HAVES
2-3 years Inventory accounting background required Familiarity with Peoplesoft/SAP Experience with complex journal entries Advanced/intermediate analytical skills Strong excel skills
Plusses:
Ideal industries: Cruise, Transportation, Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse etc. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA and/or Master’s a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced level in Excel and Word. Proficiency in database applications would be preferred Day to day: Preparing monthly journal entries Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger Monitoring inventory transactions Assist with the monthly closing process Resolve any accounting discrepancies Partner with various departments to ensure full compliance with company policy and procedure in regard to inventory. Assists in quarterly and year-end audits Special projects as required Communicates effectively with senior financial management Performs job with integrity and transparency Utilize good judgment in the execution of job
Pay Rate:
$34 – $38/hr based off qualifications, years of experience, and education
