Job Description

One of the best General Contractor in Florida specializing in healthcare and higher education projects is looking for a Job Cost Accountant with a strong focus on transparency, communication, and efficiency to ensure our projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, and collaborate with other team members in the company to provide financial and accounting support to executives who establish goals and budgets for the organization. Responsibilities Manage financial transactions and accounting records for multiple construction projects. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job costing functions. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and project cost reports. Process subcontractor invoices, lien waivers, and payment applications. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, contracts, and company policies. Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation for assurance and taxes. Collaborate with project managers and estimators to track project costs and profitability. Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation. Support payroll processing and certified payroll reporting when applicable. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounting. Proficiency in construction accounting software. Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and financial reporting, including the WIP. Familiarity with AIA billing, Florida lien law, and contract compliance. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. CCIFP designation is a plus.
