Full Job Description Overview:
The Junior Accountant is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. This role supports the Controller in ensuring accuracy in financial data and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Junior Accountant also assists with audits, tax filings, and budgeting processes. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, Finance, or related field Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, with strong general ledger experience Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience in healthcare industry, a plus.

Ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and related tools for extended periods.
Sitting/Standing:
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours a day).

Job Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of financial data. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Assist in the preparation and management of the company’s budget and forecast. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies. Perform variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues. Collaborate with the Controller on financial audits, tax filings, and internal controls. Review and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Assist with payroll accounting and the preparation of tax reports. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes. Assist in preparing financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
