Miami, FL
A global leader in supply chain, logistics, and distribution, providing innovative solutions to top brands worldwide, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join their team on a contract basis at their Medley, Florida location.
This role is ideal for a hands-on payroll professional with experience supporting high-volume payroll operations in dynamic, light industrial or logistics environments.

Payroll Accountant Responsibilities:

• Process and post payroll journal entries using SAP with accuracy and timeliness
• Manage high-volume payroll for a large, diverse hourly workforce
• Utilize Excel at an intermediate to advanced level, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
• Maintain meticulous payroll records and documentation in accordance with company and legal standards
• Reconcile payroll accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Support audits and reporting requirements as needed
• Ensure payroll procedures align with state and federal laws and internal policies
• Multitask and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced distribution environment

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Some flexibility may be required during peak periods

Payroll Accountant Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a payroll accountant or in a similar role
• Proficient in SAP for payroll journal entries and reconciliation
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data validation, etc.)
• Experience processing payroll in high-volume settings, preferably logistics or distribution
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and accounting principles
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work independently
• Experience with ADP and/or HRIS systems is a plus
• Ability to work fully onsite and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Pay Rate:

• $31 per hour
