Description Job Summary:

The Project Accountant is responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and billing. This role works closely with project managers and operations teams to maintain financial compliance, provide insights, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Monitor and track project budgets, expenditures, and costs against financial forecasts + Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project-related financial transactions + Prepare and submit project invoices in accordance with contract terms (e.g., AIA billing) + Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely and accurate billing + Assist with revenue recognition based on project milestones or percentage of completion + Review contracts and change orders for appropriate financial terms and billing requirements + Track contract values, approved changes, and pending revisions + Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and reports related to project activity + Generate and analyze financial reports, including project performance, budget vs. actuals, and cost analysis + Serve as a liaison between accounting, operations, and project management teams to ensure alignment on financial matters + Participate in project meetings to provide financial updates and insights + Maintain proper documentation for contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and cost allocations + Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls over project accounting processes

Requirements Qualifications:
