Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Miami, Florida, this role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in operational and corporate accounting. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, managing job costing, and maintaining compliance with auditing standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage operational and corporate accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
  • Perform detailed job costing analysis to track project expenses and profitability.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update general ledgers to reflect accurate financial data.
  • Conduct thorough audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Utilize accounting software systems such as Deltek, Costpoint, and Timberline to streamline financial operations.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely processing and reporting.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide financial insights and support budgeting efforts.
  • Ensure proper coding of financial transactions to maintain consistency and accuracy.
  • Generate and present financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on operational and corporate functions.
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Deltek Vision, Costpoint, and Timberline.
  • Strong expertise in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform job costing and reconcile accounts effectively.
  • Familiarity with auditing practices and financial compliance standards.
  • Solid understanding of general ledger management and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate financial insights clearly.
