Miami, FL Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Miami, FL . The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, general ledger activities, and month-end close processes . This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes , including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Prepare and analyze financial reports , including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Collaborate with external tax advisors for tax compliance and reporting . Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field . 5+ years of accounting experience , preferably in a corporate environment. Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling). Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills . Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
