Responsibilities Include:
- General Ledger Ownership
- + Lead day-to-day general ledger activities for multiple entities + Prepare and post journal entries (e.g., payroll, accruals, intercompany allocations) + Ensure proper period-end close and accurate account reconciliations + Maintain fixed asset subledger and record depreciation in accordance with policy + Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes under GAAP
- Financial Reporting & Insight
- + Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports + Conduct variance analysis and deliver financial insight to leadership teams + Support strategic planning through ad-hoc reports and cost modeling + Identify trends and recommend financial or operational improvements
- Cash Cycle & Vendor Oversight
- + Manage AP/AR processes in coordination with operational leads and billing team + Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and ensure

compliance + Maintain clean subledger-to-ledger reconciliations and assist with receivables follow-up + Oversee payroll postings and tax setups for expanding geographic locations
- Licensing, Insurance & Regulatory Support
- + Track and manage business licenses, DBAs, and facility registrations across states + Lead insurance documentation processes, audit readiness, and renewal tracking + Ensure financial operations remain compliant with healthcare regulations and internal controls + Collaborate with compliance and clinical teams to align operations with finance best practices
- Systems Integration & Collaboration
- + Maintain and input data across integrated accounting, payroll, and EHR systems + Lead or support system enhancements, upgrades, and financial data integrity checks + Coordinate with HR, Clinical, and Operational teams to ensure alignment on budgeting, reporting, and expansion readiness + Act as a financial subject-matter expert during onboarding of new facilities or entities
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred or CPA-eligible) + 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in healthcare or behavioral health + Strong command of U.S. GAAP, healthcare revenue cycle, and compliance frameworks + Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and EHR platforms (e.g., Kipu, Athena, Epic) + Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling); Power BI or analytics software a plus + Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management abilities + Ability to operate independently while contributing to cross-functional initiatives #montenido #LI-REMOTE
