Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in managing the full spectrum of accounting processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and maintaining compliance with organizational standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring proper reconciliation and reporting.
- Develop and finalize financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Track budgets and monitor grant allocations to ensure proper use of funds.
- Maintain and update the fixed assets ledger with precision and attention to detail.
- Conduct fund accounting processes for non-profit organizations, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Perform month-end close procedures, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and generate reports.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience managing the complete accounting cycle.
- Proficient in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and compliance standards.
- Expertise in fund accounting, particularly within non-profit organizations.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with budget tracking and grant monitoring processes.
- Experience with municipal accounting is a plus.
