Job Description

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida, on a long-term contract basis. This role requires expertise in financial reconciliations and a deep understanding of accounting principles to support balance sheet reviews and remediation efforts. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and validity of reconciliations across multiple brands and corporate functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with SOX standards.
  • Review accounting reconciliations with the accounting team to validate supporting documentation and backup.
  • Maintain control over financial processes, including cash receivables, payables, intercompany working capital, and fixed assets.
  • Collaborate with corporate and brand-specific teams to facilitate quarterly balance sheet reviews.
  • Provide oversight and support for month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to manage general ledger activities.
  • Prepare journal entries and perform bank reconciliations as part of routine financial operations.
  • Address prepaid expenses, debt, equity, sales tax payables, and corporate tax matters.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices across all managed and leased business operations.
  • Coordinate with offshore accounting resources and corporate accounting teams to streamline workflows. Requirements
  • Extensive experience in balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger management.
  • Proficiency in accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting.
  • Expertise in parking accounting and real estate management is highly preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reconciliation tasks.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and control environment standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including offshore resources.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to handle complex financial operations.
