Staff Accountant Position Available In Miami-Dade, Florida

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will manage customer invoices, ensure timely payments, and contribute to the accuracy of financial records and reports. This position offers the opportunity to support financial decision-making by maintaining precise data and assisting in reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes by preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial reports, including working capital and cash flow summaries, to support management decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets.
• Prepare specialized financial reports by gathering and interpreting account trends and data.
• Review and refine accounting policies and procedures to enhance reporting and record-keeping efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve errors in financial data.
• Monitor compliance with accounting standards and ensure adherence to GAAP.
• Provide schedules and commentary on operational account results and variances. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, demonstrating attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and US GAAP principles.
• Proficiency in general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive financial information.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable, collections, and payroll reconciliation.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting.
