STAFF ACCOUNTANT ZIGI

USA, LLC, a fashion footwear wholesaler, has an opening for a staff accountant. This position reports to the chief operating officer, controller, and the assistant controller, and interacts closely with the other accounting team members, as all work together to support the department’s daily financial operations. Duties will consist of a combination of any of the following:

  • Processing and entering complex accounts payable invoices
  • Performing accurate, timely reconciliations for several types of accounts
  • Generating sales invoices according to established procedures
  • Performing customer credit approval tasks
  • Processing and recording outgoing payments
  • Assisting with management of vendor and customer relationships
  • Interfacing with outside vendors to establish new or extended services
  • 1099 groundwork (i.e. W-9 tracking, vendor review)
  • Reviewing, processing, and preparing monthly sales expenses for management approval
  • Assisting with preparation of weekly cash flow projection (outgoing cash)
  • Providing basic administrative support (i.e. scanning, filing, answering phones, retrieving records, etc.)
  • Assisting with credit card reconciliation and reimbursement
  • Actively participating in month-end and year-end closings (i.e. annual tax preparation)
  • Administrative / Human Resources tasks such as assisting with coordinating company events (e.g. quarterly luncheons, holiday celebrations, company picnics, etc.), as well as assisting with tasks such as paid time off (PTO) tracking and compliance
  • Assisting with trademark registration renewals
  • Assisting team members with projects arising and as otherwise needed
  • Performing other tasks / taking on other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Driven – able to thrive in our fast-paced environment
  • Possesses strong, solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Has excellent analytical skills
  • Possesses a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Is exceptionally detail-oriented
  • Provides a high level of data entry proficiency and accuracy Associates degree in accounting preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience considered) Full-time position
