Akerman is seeking an experienced Accountant for its Financial Services Department in Orlando, FL. The firm has adopted a hybrid schedule. The position will be responsible for general accounting duties including (but not limited to): Supporting month-end and year-end close processes Responsible for preparing and maintaining the company’s monthly office lease rent roll Identifying and recording necessary journal entries Reconciling balance sheet and bank accounts Performing an analytical review of accounts for variances and unusual activity Preparing tax schedules and financial reports Assisting in the annual audit Releasing trust wires The position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while working under time-sensitive deadlines with minimal supervision. Qualified candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong computer skills including MS Excel. We require a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience preferably in a law firm setting.
