Our client is a leading provider of HVAC and refrigeration solutions, managing inventory and pricing across multiple states. They are searching for a Cost Accountant to join their team ASAP!

Salary:

$65-80k base salary (flexible/based on experience) + full comprehensive benefits

Job Summary:

The detail-oriented Cost Accountant will assist with pricing accuracy, inventory management, and ERP system updates. This role will begin as a project-based position to clean up existing data, followed by ongoing maintenance and optimization.

Job Responsibilities:

Review and reconcile transfer costs and transfer pricing to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Manage and oversee inventory valuation for multiple locations across eight states.
Ensure pricing, cost structures, and selling prices are accurate in the ERP/CRM system.
Conduct cost analysis and identify discrepancies in pricing and inventory records.
Assist with various accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
Develop and implement process improvements to maintain data integrity and cost efficiency.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to cost accounting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in cost accounting, inventory management, or pricing analysis.
Proficiency in ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently on project-based tasks while ensuring long-term system accuracy.
Experience in inventory management and cost reconciliation is a plus.
