Description

Summary:

The Cost Control Clerk is responsible for tracking project expenditures, analyzing variances, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and preparing financial reports. They work to ensure projects stay within budget by meticulously monitoring costs and working with relevant parties to identify areas for cost optimization

Responsibilities:

Meticulously tracking and analyzing all project expenditures, including labor, materials, and overhead, to ensure accurate and up-to-date cost information. Identifying and analyzing variances between budgeted and actual costs, and reporting discrepancies to management.
Identifying and recommending cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to reduce expenses.
Preparing financial reports, including cost summaries, variance reports, and budget forecasts, to keep management informed about project costs.
Assisting with inventory management, including stock counts, inventory reconciliation, and identifying stock discrepancies.
Assisting with budget preparation and adjustments, as well as tracking budget adherence.
Working with project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost data and budget adherence. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of project costs, including invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to cost control.
Performing other administrative tasks as needed, such as preparing reports, filing documents, and answering phones. Comply with the company’s drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

Experience in accounting, finance, or related fields is preferred. Ability to lift to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred. Discover Life at Rosen
