ATTORNEYS’ TITLE FUND SERVICES

(The Fund) Summary of the role: Maintain, analyze, reconcile, post and report on assigned general ledger accounts, guided by precedent, and working within the limits of established policies.

Some of the responsibilities include:

Analyze, balance, reconcile, and maintain assigned general ledger accounts. Ensure accuracy and that all pertinent data is recorded. Determine the necessary journal entries to record or correct transactions. Prepare and record the appropriate accounting journal entries including monthly accruals. Issue periodic and special reports to management and others as required. Prepare schedules for year-end reporting and annual audits. Assist with the annual audit. Participate in departmental cross-training and maintain currency of knowledge and skills to be able to provide back up for other Accounting Department positions. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of written procedures within area of responsibility. Assist with the proofing of A/P invoices and ensure accuracy of account coding.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or four or more years of professional work-related experience required.

Experience:

Minimum one year of General Ledger accounting experience required.

Skills needed to be successful:
