Payroll Tax Accountant Role:
As a Payroll Tax Accountant, you’ll be crucial in ensuring compliance and accuracy in tax-related matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
Obtaining taxing jurisdiction account numbers and reconciling between taxing jurisdictions and payroll tax vendors.
Processing payroll taxes, including reporting, payments, and declarations.
Performing tax liability reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assisting with 941 and 940 payments, as well as quarterly reports.
Supporting year-end tax reconciliations, including issuing W-2s, processing W-2s with Tax Agencies, and handling 1099s.
Collaborating with accounting to meet departmental goals and assist as needed. Preferred Qualifications for the
Payroll Tax Accountant:
To excel in this role, our ideal Payroll Tax Accountant candidate should possess:
3-5
Years of Experience:
Demonstrate a strong background in payroll, tax filing, account reconciliation, and intermediate accounting.
PEO Experience:
Experience with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) is advantageous.
Excellent Communication Skills:
Possess clear written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong Time Management:
Exhibit good time management skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrate professionalism, commitment, and a strong desire to deliver quality work.
Computer Proficiency:
