Aboutthe Project Accountant role:

Our client is seeking a detail-drivenProject Accountant to manage key AP/AR functions, support projectbilling, and ensure accuracy across financial processes. This roleis ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment,enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and is eager to improveaccounting workflows. You’ll work closely with Project Managers andvendors while handling everything from invoice processing togeneral ledger reconciliation. Key Responsibilities of the

ProjectAccountant:

Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Receivable,including invoice processing, vendor setup, payment execution, andclient billing. Review and reconcile consultant and trade invoicesagainst contracts, budgets, and project data. Create and processemployee and corporate credit card expense reports; resolvediscrepancies. Maintain accurate project data in the ERP system,including setup, budgets, billing terms, and contract changes.

Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accurate and timelyclient billing; upload invoices to client portals. Perform banktransaction reviews, record cash receipts, and support deposit andreconciliation processes. Conduct general ledger reconciliationsand support month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.

Identify and recommend process improvements across AP, AR, billing,and reporting functions. Provide responsive support to internalteams and external partners on all accounting-related inquiries.

Qualifications of the

Project Accountant:

3 years of relevantaccounting experience, ideally in AP/AR or project-basedenvironments required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERPsystems; Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint a plus. Solid understanding ofAP, AR, expense reconciliation, and basic accounting principlesrequired. Strong analytical, organizational, and time managementskills with attention to detail. Able to prioritize tasks, meetdeadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Associates’ degreein Accounting or a related field preferred. Strong technicalproficiency with Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPfunctions) required. Applicants must be authorized to work in theUnited States without sponsorship.
