Our client is a property management company specializing in residential and commercial properties. Their mission is to provide top-notch management services to maximize the value of their investments. Their team is now looking for a Property Accountant.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60k – $70k

Position Overview:

The Property Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing critical financial insights to support the company’s property management operations.
Responsibilities of the

Property Accountant:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for all managed properties.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for managed properties, analyzing variances and providing actionable insights.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payment of invoices and collection of rents.
Prepare and issue accurate tenant billing statements, including rent, utilities, and other charges.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all property accounts.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
Work closely with property managers, leasing agents, and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
Required Experience/Skills for the

Property Accountant:

1 – 2 years of accounting experience.
Proficient in Excel.
Knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the

Property Accountant:

Experience in property or real estate accounting.
Experience with property management accounting ERP systems.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
