Senior Accountant Position Available In Orange, Florida

Responsibilities Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the Accounting Department. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Assist with audits by preparing and reviewing work documents. Report on financial performance and prepare reviews. Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements. Provide meaningful, accurate, and timely monthly and fiscal year-end financial information and analysis. Perform monthly financial close activities and analyze month-end balance sheet and income statement accounts to communicate financial results and significant variances to management. Monthly close activities include completing month-end reconciliation of ledger balances. Preparing or reviewing journal entries, processing or reviewing receivable entries and payables, and overseeing the accuracy of the balance sheet and income statement. Perform year-end functions to substantiate account balances to management and external auditors. Supervise accounts payable functions by reviewing and approving payable batches. Prepare financial information needed to create general journals in ERP system. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required 3+ years’ of professional accounting experience Strong Excel skills Prior ERP system experience
