Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Orlando, FL. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive expertise in full-cycle accounting, technical accounting, and lease accounting. The ideal candidate will excel at addressing complex financial challenges, analyzing data for root causes, and collaborating effectively with oversight teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee full-cycle accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Identify and analyze root cause issues in financial data, proposing actionable solutions to resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with oversight teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Conduct technical accounting tasks, including lease accounting, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to perform detailed financial analyses and reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders to address intercompany and payroll-related process challenges.
- Support the redesign of accounting workflows to accommodate organizational changes.
- Prepare and present financial reports, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures, recommending updates as needed. Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on full-cycle processes.
- Strong expertise in lease accounting and technical accounting.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including data analysis and reporting.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with oversight teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with intercompany and payroll accounting processes.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
