Responsibilities:

Develop Accounting policy through analysis ofGAAP and business practices. Ensure accounting treatment is practical, cost-beneficial andaccurately portrays the economic substance of businesstransactions. Review changes in technical accounting literature, developpositions and present to management. Analyze proposed transactions for structure and proper accountingtreatment under authoritative accounting literature. Ensure consistent application of accounting policies. Maintain awareness of accounting issues being considered by FASB,SEC, and other regulatory bodies and advise management of importantmatters. Ensure adoption of accounting principles and that effects ofconditions are reflected in selection/retention of accountingpolicies. Assume the lead role in special projects and provide guidance anddirection to other team members.

Experience:

plus 3-5 years accounting experience required.

Skills:

Good communication skills, oral and written, areneeded.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, plus6+ years accounting experience required. A CPA, CMA, MBA or master’s in accounting is stronglypreferred.
