Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This role involves supporting various accounting functions, including payment processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with established procedures. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy in maintaining financial records.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine clerical tasks such as preparing bank deposits, matching payments, and verifying purchase orders.
  • Perform basic accounting functions, including managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure financial data accuracy.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints through research and problem-solving.
  • Post and verify financial transactions to maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance reporting and analytics processes.
  • Provide training and guidance on accounting practices as needed.
  • Support ad hoc financial tasks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to address inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analytics.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and internal controls.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform routine calculations and maintain accuracy in financial data.
  • Experience with payment processing and purchase order verification is a plus.
