This is an exciting opportunity for any student pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting, who has a desire to grow their technical skillet and become more technically capable. Work expectations would require 20-25 hours a week in person at our Juno Beach Headquarters. Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered, and must be actively enrolled in a college/university

General Responsibilities:

Process routine and non-routine accounting data in various areas of the business unit. Demonstrate knowledge of bookkeeping accounting principles. Able to use job-specific computer systems (SAP, Emburse, etc.). Assist in special projects and analysis under the direction of exempt personnel. Good communication skills, oral and written
Good record keeping and organization skills

Specific Responsibilities:
Invoice & Expense Report Processing Support:

Responsible for: Reviewing, Routing and Resolving incoming Invoice and Expense Report processing requests for the Service Desks
Entering invoices for assigned workload within the established time frame
Able work closely with vendors and employees to resolve invoice and Expense Report discrepancies

Miscellaneous Responsibilities:

Assist users in resolving invoicing issues
Projects as assigned – individual/team Other Technically strong, with proven computer skills

Opportunity to gain experience in an area of SAP that sets you apart from your peers Job Overview This job performs a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical and accounting functions in accordance with standard NextEra Energy procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, project accounting, tax accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or related financial area. Individuals in this role may reconcile bank accounts, post information and balances in general or subsidiary ledgers, process payments and compile segments of monthly closings, annual reports, etc. either manually or via SAP.Job Duties & Responsibilities Under direct supervision:

  • Contacts other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems
  • Processes accounts payable or accounts receivable and sets up and maintains vendors for multiple companies
  • Audits invoices entered at remote locations for completeness and accuracy, corrects errors in accordance with procedure
  • Manages electronic workflow, monitors and resolves open invoice items, prepares and processes domestic and foreign wire transfers
  • Creates and maintains vendor data to include
IRS 1099

reporting requirements

  • Interacts with all levels of employees as needed to perform responsibilities
  • Works on special projects as requested
  • Applies advance bookkeeping practices for project accounting
