Description A global leader in life sciences is seeking a Cost Accountant/Analyst to join their team. This role provides timely, accurate financial insights to support data-driven decision-making and optimize spending across support functions. The cost accountant will provide financial review and analytical support across designated business units or functional areas. This role is critical in delivering timely, accurate financial insights to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary financial partner for operations, evaluating the cost impact of changes in manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with Supply Chain to analyze inventory variances and develop strategies to meet financial targets.
Support monthly financial reviews, including variance analysis and performance reporting.
Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic financial projections.
Provide financial support for daily operations and ad hoc business initiatives.
Maintain and enhance financial systems used for reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Support the evaluation and management of capital expenditure projects.
Prepare ad hoc reports and perform special assignments as needed. Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
CMA is highly preferred.
Experience with a large ERP.Advanced skills in Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial modeling.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
