Sr. Accountant Position Available In Palm Beach, Florida

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Riviera Beach, Florida. This role will play a vital part in overseeing accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR) management, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in job costing, reconciliations, and manufacturing cost accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and evaluate Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, adjustments, and accruals.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Track and monitor project costs, providing insights and recommendations for financial efficiency.
• Utilize advanced accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Dynamics for accurate financial management.
• Collaborate with team members to address ad hoc accounting tasks and support organizational goals.
• Ensure proper handling of job costing processes within a manufacturing environment.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department to streamline processes. Requirements
• Minimum of 15 years of accounting experience, with a focus on manufacturing cost accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Great Plains, or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Advanced knowledge of month-end close processes, including journal entries and financial reporting.
• Strong expertise in account reconciliations, balance sheet management, and bank reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) systems and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage job costing in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
