MBA is growing! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Litigation Support Senior Accountant to join our esteemed organization in an in-office working arrangement. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with 3-5 years of experience in auditing and litigation support to contribute their expertise in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
Oversee and assist with audit and assurance projects including planning, execution, and reporting.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
Conduct thorough financial statement reviews and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
Identify areas of improvement and recommend actionable solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Stay current with changes in regulations and best practices, ensuring the audit process remains effective and up to date.
Provide litigation support by analyzing financial data, preparing financial models, and assisting in the calculation of damages or loss claims.
Collaborate with legal teams and external experts in preparing expert witness reports, deposition materials, and trial exhibits.
Conduct financial investigations, including asset tracing and financial statement analysis, to support legal proceedings.
Prepare comprehensive litigation-related documentation with clear findings, supporting evidence, and expert opinions.
Foster strong relationships with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and exceptional service delivery.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
CPA is required.
Minimum of 3-5 years in a public accounting setting.
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), auditing standards, and litigation procedures.
Proficient in using accounting software, data analysis tools, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify risks, irregularities, and relevant financial information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work effectively in an in-office environment and collaborate within a team setting.
Remote work arrangements will not be considered for this position.
