Controller/Accountant/Bookkeeper National Spine Institute/USA Spine Oldsmar, FL 34677 Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. The Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights to support organizational growth. This position requires a strong background in accounting principles, technical accounting, and regulatory reporting. Duties Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, payroll, and double-entry bookkeeping. Handling paying invoices, handling payables, ensuring all expense are paid on a timely manner such as rent and utilities. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards. Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Conduct account analysis and forecasting to support business planning and decision-making. Implement and maintain internal controls in accordance with GAAP regulations Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the finance team. Reconcile both credit card and checking accounts for all three entities Create Journal Entries, Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience, need someone who don’t need to ask the CPA questions and can handle tasks and projects by themselves. Proven experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of technical accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and GAAP compliance. Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough account analysis. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
