510763 job summary: NYS-listed manufacturing company is growing their accounting department and seeking a Senior Accountant for a newly created position due to growth. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented senior level accountant beginning their career in Big 4 public accounting with a focus on manufacturing clients or subsequent industry experience including manufactory accounting. The Senior Accountant will provide quarterly assistance to the SEC Financial Reporting team and manufacturing shared services accounting department while working closely with the Inventory Accounting Manager and financial reporting team.

- 12,000 per year work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelor’s degree experience: 0 Years responsibilities: Preparation of monthly manufacturing entity financial statements to provide accurate and timely reporting and analysis, with comparisons to and variance analysis against prior year, budget, and forecast Prepare or assist with annual standard costing updates Prepare or assist with all aspects of inventory such as product costing, physical inventory/cycle count programs, manufacturing variance analysis, etc.
for both purchased goods and company-owned manufacturing. Prepare monthly accounting close journal entries and analysis Prepare balance sheet reconciliations Perform distribution and assessment cycles within SAP, including the creation and maintenance of cost centers and profit centers Assist with quarterly SEC financial reporting Assists in analyzing and reviewing transactions for proper GAAP treatment Assists in developing and maintaining appropriate internal control procedures Special projects, other duties/responsibilities as assigned qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Required CPA a plus 2
- 3+ years’ experience Big 4 public accounting 4
- 5+ years total accounting experience in a manufacturing and/or inventory intensive industry preferred Knowledge and Understanding of GAAP Excellent analytical reasoning and problem solving skills SAP experience preferred skills: SAP, Financial Statements, Variance Analysis, Inventory, CPA, GAAP, Financial Audit, CPA Candidate, Audit
