As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and help drive accuracy, insight, and accountability across the organization.
Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations. This position offers hands-on responsibility in general ledger management, inventory reconciliation, financial analysis, and month-end close. Ideal candidates will have experience in a product-based or construction-related environment and a strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost controls, and operational finance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and manage month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements
Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions across multiple yards/locations
Track job costing, margins, and project profitability
Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with historical analysis and insight
Work cross-functionally with sales, purchasing, and operations to ensure accurate financial data
Assist in preparing for audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls
Identify process improvements to increase accounting efficiency and accuracy
Supervise or mentor junior accounting staff as needed
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in building materials, construction, or manufacturing
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
Experience with Great Plains and BisTrack (or similar ERP/accounting platforms)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not required
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
