Sr. Accountant Position Available In Pinellas, Florida

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in St. Petersburg, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing reconciliations, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in financial analysis and accounting systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with established standards.
• Manage premium accounting tasks and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform reconciliations for accounts, balance sheets, and bank statements.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring data integrity.
• Create and post journal entries to support financial operations.
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for financial management and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis.

• Proven experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency in managing general ledger and journal entries.
• Expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting systems like NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience in the insurance industry is a must
