Sr. Accountant Position Available In Pinellas, Florida

Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Clearwater, Florida. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with financial procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide guidance to two Accounting Clerks to ensure efficient workflow and accuracy.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions with precision and timeliness.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial deadlines are met.
• Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Oversee bank reconciliation tasks to ensure proper alignment of financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries into the general ledger with attention to detail.
• Utilize and maintain expertise in accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with internal and external financial policies.
• Generate reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making processes. Requirements
• Proven experience in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliations and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and month-end close processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Leadership experience, including supervising and mentoring accounting staff.
