Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Largo, FL. This position is responsible for supporting the finance department with daily accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and eager to grow within a collaborative and professional environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal reports. Support audits by providing documentation and account details as needed. Monitor and process accounts payable and receivable transactions. Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
