Staff Accountant Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounting tasks. This role includes daily metric reporting, banking functions, preparing financial reports, month-end close journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accounting research, process improvements, and supporting audits. Responsibilities Daily metric reporting for sales Perform banking functions including positive pay uploads, handling exceptions, and processing ACH and Wire payments Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations Prepare and post month-end close sales reports Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations Perform accounting research and determine the correct application Identify, suggest, and implement process improvements Support annual financial audits Perform all other related duties as assigned Essential Skills Understanding of internal controls and accrual accounting Customer service skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Critical thinking and organizational skills Proficient computer skills appropriate to the position Sense of urgency Experience with Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel proficiency Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Accounting required 2-5 years of experience in an accounting/analysis role ERP experience Work Environment This position offers the opportunity to work in a growing team within a dynamic organization.
