Staff Accountant Position Available In Pinellas, Florida

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the following functions: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, deferred revenue, and month-end close processes. Support the processing and management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments/collections. Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards (GAAP) Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements and cash payments Prepare and review financial statements and reports Processing and reviewing expense reports Additional areas of support will include contract management, HR, administrative tasks towards deadlines and deliverables, and assistance to executive leadership. Ad hoc projects as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the financial services or a similar industry. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks required. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations (GAAP, etc.). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
