Job Description
Position Summary The Accountant will be responsible for daily accounting operations and play a key role in supporting financial accuracy and stability across the company. This position is ideal for someone who can manage the details while also seeing the bigger picture and providing insight to ownership for financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable:
Process vendor invoices and prepare timely payments Track expenses and ensure accuracy in cost reporting
Accounts Receivable:
Generate and issue customer invoices Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
Daily Reconciliation & Cash Flow Monitoring:
Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain cash flow awareness Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly Payroll Processing Process payroll through software for W-2 and some 1099
Sales & Use Tax:
Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns Maintain compliance with state tax regulations
Banking & Financial Oversight:
Monitor transactions and manage banking relationships Coordinate wire transfers, ACH payments, and deposits
General Ledger & Financial Reporting:
Post journal entries and assist with monthly closing Generate internal financial reports for ownership review Maintain organized and accurate records What You Bring Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience 2+ years in a hands-on accounting or bookkeeping role Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar industry based accounting software Proficiency in Excel and Record Keeping Solid understanding of financial processes and tax compliance Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Prior experience in construction, subcontracting, or project-based industries is a plus
