Senior Accountant Position Available In Sarasota, Florida

Segrera Associates is actively recruiting for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with a Healthcare & Medical service company located in Sarasota, FL. The Senior Accountant position is a high visibility position within the company and will report directly to the Controller. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a versatile background and skillset and business acumen. You will be overseeing and managing the accounting team and ensuring they are providing accurate month-end close reports. This role is a fully on-site and candidate must be willing to work fully on-site. Responsibilities Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close. Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, billing and payroll. Research and analyze expense variances for company management. Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, end of year accounts, budgets, and forecasts. Manage 3 accounting staff members. Qualifications 3+ years’ of professional accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience Management experience preferred
