Accountant PPK Investment Group Lake Mary, FL 32746 • Hybrid work SUMMARY The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general accounting, month-end closing procedures, preparation of financial statements and analysis, accounts payable review and reconciliations for various companies. Ideal candidate possesses both excellent analytical skills and an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles to efficiently analyze financial reports and reconciliations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Daily Duties o Record bank transactions including deposits, ACH, and wires. o Review and process accounts payable and credit card transactions o Reconcile and post electronic payments. o Record general ledger entries. o Support and respond to accounting-related inquiries from various business teams. o Work on ad-hoc projects assigned. Month End Duties o Perform monthly bank reconciliations, inter-company transactions, cash on deposits, credit card & ACH sales receivables, petty cash, Small Ops activities, loan, and other account reconciliations. o Download and reconcile sales reports from various systems. o Prepare month end journal entries for various businesses. o Assist in financial statements and analysis compilation. o Prepare sales tax return for various businesses. o Prepare quarterly fixed assets and lease schedules.
