Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Ponte Vedra, Florida. In this role, you will manage various accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed asset tracking, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts receivable processes, including depositing funds, maintaining resident account information, and posting various charges.
- Reconcile cash deposits and prepare billing statements for members by established deadlines.
- Manage accounts payable by maintaining vendor files, processing payments, and addressing vendor inquiries.
- Ensure accurate tracking of fixed assets, including recording purchases, reconciling balances, and preparing reports.
- Process bi-weekly payroll, fund payroll accounts, and ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements.
- Monitor and reconcile daily bank transactions and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Prepare month-end journal entries and interdepartmental charges for financial reporting.
- Track and update member records, calculate contract refunds, and maintain accurate forecasting data.
- Assist with preparing quarterly and annual financial reports and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.
- Proficiency in general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
- Strong skills in bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and compliance with federal and state reporting requirements.
