Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant As a Senior Staff Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s financial operations, including: Assisting with the month-end close process, including journal entries, inventory, WIP reconciliations, and roll forwards.
Supporting the monthly cash flow forecast for all capital projects.
Coordinating with project managers and property accounting staff to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Creating fixed assets and generating transfers to inventory.
Providing variance explanations for P&L reporting.
Utilizing strong Excel skills to analyze and organize financial data.
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Staff Accountant To excel in this role, the ideal Senior Staff Accountant will have: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
At least 2+ years of accounting or finance experience.
Construction industry experience (preferred).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
