Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team in Coral Gables . This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about tax compliance and strategic tax planning. The Tax Accountant will play a key role in preparing and reviewing tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and supporting broader finance and accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions (ASC 740). Conduct tax research and analysis on a variety of tax issues. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Identify and implement tax-saving strategies and process improvements. Maintain and organize tax records and documentation. Support audits and liaise with external auditors or tax authorities. Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the organization or clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master s in Taxation is a plus). CPA certification (or in progress) strongly preferred. 2-5 years of tax accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or a corporate tax department. Strong knowledge of U.S. tax codes and regulations. Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem fx, CCH, or UltraTax). Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks or ERP systems is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred due to client base in South Florida.
