Position Overview Ledgent Finance & Accounting’s client is seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Loan Accountant to join their Georgia-based team. This is a hybrid, direct-hire role requiring applicants to be located in the Atlanta area. Responsibilities include loan accounting for acquired and sold assets, reviewing third-party servicer data, supporting financial reporting, and improving processes through strong systems expertise. Responsibilities Oversee loan accounting processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Manage loan servicing activities, including journal entries, third-party servicer settlements, and remittance reports. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and monitor delinquency and charge-off activities for loan portfolios. Generate financial reports, conduct variance analysis, and identify trends or areas for improvement. Provide audit and regulatory support to ensure adherence to applicable laws and accounting standards. Manage data imports, ensuring accuracy and maintaining data integrity and confidentiality. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of experience with loan accounting expertise. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Proficiency in advanced Excel and Power Query for data extraction and analysis. Experience with banking software and reconciliation software.
