Our client is seeking a driven Staff Accountant to join its close-knit regional accounting team. In this critical role, the Staff Accountant will handle core general ledger responsibilities, including booking journal entries, performing reconciliations, and supporting monthly close. The role also participates in budgeting, consolidations, and process improvements associated with integrating newly acquired businesses. Key Responsibilities:
Own daily general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations
Support month-end close activities and ensure accurate, timely reporting
Collaborate on annual budgeting efforts alongside the lean finance team
Assist in consolidations and post-acquisition ERP integration efforts
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and cross-functional support efforts across the region
Communicate regularly with team members across the country, embodying a proactive and team-first mindset
Key Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including GL and close responsibilities
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and their practical application
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
Strong work ethic, reliability, and interest in long-term growth within the company
Demonstrated process improvement mindset and ability to streamline workflows
Preferred:
experience with intercompany accounting, manufacturing environments, or PE-backed businesses
