Position Overview We’re looking for a Job Costing Accountant / Bookkeeper with construction experience to take ownership of our financial recordkeeping, improve our job tracking systems, and support smarter project budgeting and decision-making. This is more than just payroll and receipts-we need someone who understands how to track financials across projects and help us clearly see where we’re profitable, where we’re not, and why. You’ll work closely with the owner, project managers, and future hires to lay the financial groundwork for scalable, efficient growth. Key Responsibilities Bonding Support

• Ensure accurate records and systems are in place to create job schedules. Job Costing
• Track labor, materials, travel, and other expenses per job; generate reports that clearly show profit margins and flag problem areas. Accounts Payable/Receivable
• Manage billing, invoicing (including progress billing and retainage ), and timely vendor payments. Payroll Support
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations in all states where we do business. System Improvements
• Help build and refine processes for job costing, financial tracking, and reporting. Prevailing Wage Research
• Research and apply wage rates for city/state/government projects. Financial Reporting
• Reconcile bank/credit card accounts; assist with budgeting and forecasting. Compliance
• Support annual audit, tax prep, and maintain proper digital and paper records.

Required Qualifications Must reside within 30 minutes of Newnan, GA. 3-5 years’ proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in the commercial construction or

industry. Strong understanding of job costing , job schedules, retainage , and construction billing processes. Proficient with QuickBooks Online AND Google Suite/Drive. Familiarity with multi-project financial tracking. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Nice to Have Experience with Rippling payroll software. Understanding of prevailing wage requirements and compliance research. Background in playground, splashpad, or turf installation projects. Experience building or optimizing financial systems/processes. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Why Work With Us?
