Job Description
Position Overview Ledgent Finance & Accounting’s client is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team in Georgia. This role is a short-term contract position and is pivotal in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, especially during the early stages of a NetSuite implementation. The successful candidate will bring a depth of expertise in NetSuite and demonstrate a strong track record of streamlining and accelerating the close process. Responsibilities Manage and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency. Perform detailed NetSuite account reconciliations, including a strong understanding of corresponding G/L transactions related to Prepaid Expenses, Accounts Payable, and intercompany bank transfers. Utilize NetSuite ERP to maintain an accurate general ledger and identify reconciliation issues or anomalies. Analyze financial data and accounting workflows to identify process improvement opportunities. Prepare and review journal entries, account analyses, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insight. Assist in ad-hoc NetSuite reporting and financial analysis, as needed. Contribute to the development of best practices for month-end close procedures within NetSuite. Qualifications 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with NetSuite, particularly in accounting module configuration, reconciliations, and reporting. Proven success in managing and shortening the close cycle. Deep understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and pivot as priorities evolve. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Clear and proactive communication skills; comfortable receiving direction and executing autonomously.
