Staff Accountant Position Available In DeKalb, Georgia

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, Georgia. As part of a CPA firm, this position offers the opportunity to work with international businesses, primarily German and Italian clients, and contribute to their accounting and payroll operations. The role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate and timely journal entries to support accrual basis accounting.
• Manage month-end close processes and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Handle payroll processing for clients on a biweekly or weekly basis, including introducing payroll system options.
• Ensure sales and use tax compliance for international businesses.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics to maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with clients to address their unique accounting needs and provide exceptional service.
• Analyze financial data using Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions, to support decision-making.
• Work onsite with flexibility in schedule as needed, ensuring effective communication with clients and team members.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, scaling services based on their specific needs and business activity. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounting, with expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Strong understanding of accrual basis accounting principles and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and sales/use tax compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate data using pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and adapt to varying levels of business activity.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
