Overview Job Purpose We are currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our expanding team. Intercontinental Exchange is an innovative company with a fast-paced environment and we are looking for a Staff Accountant who is a fast learner and excels at multi-tasking. This position will be responsible for analyzing financial statements for discrepancies, reviewing and preparing account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and doing their part to ensure the month-end close process is completed in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities Prepares and processes of general ledger transaction and journal entries
Prepares account reconciliations for the more complex accounting areas
Monthly variance analysis of revenue and expenses
Assisting with quarterly and year-end audits
Various ad hoc financial analyses and performing special projects as requested
Documents and/or updates policies and procedures as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3+ years of experience in an accounting function
Must be proficient in Excel, Oracle Cloud, and/or Hyperion
Detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
The ability to work in a team environment
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to handle multiple job assignments at the same time
