Overview:
We are representing a prominent client in the hospitality sector who is seeking a Staff Accountant for an immediate opening. This is a contractual position with the potential to convert to permanent, depending on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Assistant Accounting Manager Maintain and control General Ledger accounts and business transactions Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Conduct analytical work and in-depth review of financial records Perform timely bank reconciliations—particularly for high-volume ACH transaction accounts Prepare and submit Sales Tax reporting for multiple municipalities Support Accounts Payable processes as needed Handle ad hoc assignments and adapt to evolving business needs
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting Minimum 1 year of accounting experience Proficiency in a large ERP software, as well as MS Excel Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
