Accountant Monumental Ford Darien, GA 31305 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Automotive Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific accounting practices within our automotive dealership. Responsibilities (not limited to)

Dealership Accounting:

Focus on the specific accounting tasks unique to the automotive industry, such as vehicle sales accounting, warranty claims, and inventory management.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial reports for a dealership, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Compliance:

Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations, especially those specific to the automotive industry (e.g., factory reporting, sales tax regulations).

Reconciliations:

Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, focusing on the specific needs of a dealership.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting, tailored to a dealership’s operational needs.

Tax Preparation:

Prepare and file tax returns, including those relevant to vehicle sales and inventory.

Qualifications :

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, ideally with a focus on automotive dealership accounting.

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, proficiency in CDK dealership accounting software , and knowledge of relevant automotive industry regulations.
