Accountant Perrin Farm Equipment Inc 3664 US Highway 82 W, Tifton, GA 31793 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting and financial analysis, with proficiency in double entry bookkeeping and financial software. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping. Reconcile multiple bank accounts to the general ledger on a daily basis. Reconcile accounts receivable, equipment inventory, and floor plan payables to the general ledger on a daily basis. Reconcile all other balance sheets to the general ledger on a monthly basis. Identify the need for and prepare/post journal entries when necessary. Utilize a scanner to scan and organize documents in a virtual file cabinet. Prepare the Company’s payroll to include making necessary corrections to employee time punches, process payroll using third party software (Paychex), and input/process new hires and their paperwork. Process bank deposits using a remote deposit scanner and software and post daily cash recap entries into the business system. Proven ability to code, input, pay and scan accounts payable invoices into company’s business system and file invoices electronically. After the Company’s year-end, electronically assemble and transmit to the Company’s accountant an adjusted year end trial balance along with supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts and selected income statement accounts. Ability to generate monthly financial statements and analyze for missing expenses and unexpected variances. Perform month end closing of the business system on the first day after month end. Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel including the ability to use pivot tables and formulas. Reconcile monthly sales between the general ledger and third-party software (Avalara) and prepare monthly sales tax returns. Prepare monthly sales commission reports for equipment sales using an Excel template. Develop a thorough understanding of the Company’s business system (Intellidealer) and payroll processing software (Paychex) to be able to assist other users with questions and problems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred. Proven experience in corporate accounting or a similar role. Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles. Proficiency in financial software and Excel for data analysis and reporting. Experience with journal entries and financial statement preparation is essential. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Corporate accounting experience in either an agricultural equipment or automotive dealership is preferred. Experience using CDK/Intellidealer and Paychex is a plus.
